Where we serve

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Mark 16:15

Project Jesus for Children is currently active in ten countries, each at a different stage in the journey toward achieving full (100%) program coverage. While each country presents unique characteristics and local contexts, the overarching goals, mission statement, and structural framework of the project remain consistent across all locations.  Here are more details per country.

The support from the national ministry of education is almost beyond belief and at the end of last year God brought through the written national agreement.   We are at 100% coverage of all the states.

Honduras

These are initial statistics for 2026. The final ones will be ready in December when the school year finishes.

  • Students: 1,067,965
  • Schools: 42,202
  • Teachers: 20,396

Testimony: A educational authority from a new municipality in Honduras wrote us a letter to request Vital Values with Jesus.  He wrote: “We would ask you to provide your material as we see it will help us educate our students in the business of life.”

El Salvador

God is opening doors in El Salvador and we are now working in 10 states. We are very excited to see the hunger and acceptance to God’s Word in the schools of this country.

We appreciate prayer for the national permission so we can better coordinate the distribution and use of the thousands of little schools in this highly populated country.

Testimony: “I’ve taught school for 16 years here, and this year, because I was using Vital Values with Jesus, was so different.”  Grade 3 Teacher

“Studying about Jesus has done more for my troubled student in the last few months than all the psychiatrist’s sessions with him in the last 3 years.” Elementary school teacher

  • Students: 303,947
  • Schools: 2,719

We praise the Lord for the opportunity to reach 100% of Nicaragua.   Last year, the national permission came through 2 days before distribution started.  It was a nail-biting miracle and we praise God for how He does things so perfectly.

Testimony: “My students told me about how excited they were that they finally convinced their English teacher to pray with them at the beginning of each class.  They love the fact that they can teach their teachers about the important things of life.” Home-room Teacher

Costa Rica

Based in San Jose, 2 staff members promote and distribute the material to all areas of the country.  In May of last year, the written agreement for the next 5 years came through. Now we are in the process of expanding to preschool and less accessible schools.  We are also very excited about the new international base for Project Jesus that God is providing here in San Jose.

Testimony: A teacher in Heredia and told us about one of her students who is autistic.  The parents weren’t sure that they wanted to tackle the digital lessons as they felt it would double their work with their son.  But later the mother called the teacher and very emotionally related how in that doing the lesson on the Value of Obedience and particularly in doing the craft together and learning the application, their son sat still for an unusually long time, something that really surprised the mother and father. The mother is very happy for the interest their son shows in the lessons, saying that some of them he has practically done alone.  The teacher told us that the mother could hardly find words to express their thankfulness for Project Jesus, that she sends lots of good wishes and blessings.  The teacher herself expressed her own gratitude and joy.

This year in Panamá, God opened the doors to reach 97% of the schools, working in all 10 provinces.  Distribution with volunteers in this very warm country is always a crazy adventure as the school authorities don’t organize their meetings until the last moment.  This makes for a lot of last-minute adjustments and changes, but, every year, God gives everyone patience and the job gets done.

  • Students: 379,200
  • Schools: 2,323
  • Teachers: 13,898

Testimony: One second grade boy was very violent.  His parents abandoned him with his grandma and his dad only returned every once in a while, to beat him up.  When the class studied the value on LOVE, the students suddenly stopped what they were doing and all went and hugged the little boy, telling him that they loved him.  He cried, impacted by God’s love for the first time.  After that, he was changed.  He became happy, peaceful, and participated in class.  That’s what God’s love does.

Colombia

This year has been a significant season of growth for the project in Colombia. Highlights include expanding into two new states, strengthening the solidity and experience of the national team, and the incredible dedication of our volunteers who faithfully serve in everything from packing materials to distribution efforts. Together, these advances are helping expand the project’s impact and reach more communities across the country.

Testimony: Teacher Lidia told us of how her students have put into practice the values taught in the books.  They especially understood the value of sharing.  They are now sharing hugs and loving words with their family members.  She has enjoyed working with Vital Values because of the variety of activities.  Teacher Lidia and her students look forward to using the books again next year.

Guatemala

This marks the third year of operations in Guatemala. The last year was the beginning of working on a state level, with 139,004 children. Starting in the country of Ecuador was a unique experience.  God opened the doors to do pilot plan of 23,478 students near Quito last September.  God definitely guided us to the right education authorities and prepared hearts and minds to receive the material. This has been the first year working with the project in Peru, and it has been both exciting and full of learning experiences. From distribution routes that climb from sea level to over 11,000 feet in altitude, to traveling long distances between communities, the challenges have been significant. Yet through every step, God has opened doors in incredible ways, allowing the project to expand and reach schools and communities across the country.
