Teacher Leticia: “The beginning of the year we made a craft of the cross while learning the value of compassion with my grade 6 class. One girl didn’t want to take it home as she had no place to put it. Her father was in jail and they weren’t doing very well. She wanted for me to have it but I told her to send it to her dad instead, as her mom wouldn’t let her ever visit him. 6 months later she brought me a flower carved from wood made by her dad. He sent it to me as a thank you for teaching his daughter and said that the craft had impacted him and now he was a different man. The cross taught
